An Exciting Update!

Hello!

Today we went to see the parinatalogist for a consultation. We found out that our baby will be a celebrity before it's even born as the doctor told us that we will be getting an ultrasound every four weeks from here on out. Everything still looks great, but they will be monitoring the baby very closely due to Maria's auto-immune disorder and blood clotting problem.

The baby was even bigger in today's ultrasound and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! (As you can see in the second picture) It was so neat to be able to see his/her chest move up and down and watch the baby move all over the place. The baby is now 3 1/2 inches tall from the head to the bottom of it's back.

We go to the doctor again on the 17th and get our next ultrasound on April 18th. We will be sure to keep you posted and appreciate your comments and prayers!

Wonderful News!

This past week the Waters Family was on the West Coast visiting family and attending a wedding. As you can see in the picture, Seth and Maria spent some great time with Grandma Melba.

Upon returning, Maria had her next ultrasound. The baby looks great and is growing right on track. The doctor said that the babies heart rate was 156 bpm and we were able to see arms, legs, fingers and toes.

As you can see in the first picture, the baby is laying face-down, with it's head to the right hand side of the picture. You can also make out the spine, arm, and leg. The second picture shows the babies face with the developing orbital bone, and its arms were shaped in a napping position.

We are very excited about this wonderful news, and are continually astonished to see what God has created and is adding to our family. Please keep us in your prayers as the pregnancy continues.
